WISDOM, Circuit Judge:

This is an appeal of a suit brought by a law firm against a workers' compensation insurer to recover attorney's fees for its role in relieving the insurer of future compensation payments. Both parties moved for summary judgment. The district court ruled in favor of the plaintiff, awarding it a sum for benefitting the insurer and an additional amount for prosecution of the instant case. Prejudgment interest was awarded on both of these sums....
