Henry Lee Mitchell was indicted for attempting to traffic in cocaine, in violation of § 13A-12-231 and § 13A-4-2, Code of Alabama 1975. The jury found the appellant "guilty as charged in the indictment." The trial judge sentenced the appellant to life imprisonment in the state penitentiary, pursuant to the Habitual Felony Offender Act. The appellant was ordered to pay a $250,000 fine and a $25 assessment...
