Defendant Lewis, charged with two counts of distribution of cocaine, La.R.S. 40:967, was tried by jury, convicted as charged and sentenced to serve consecutive terms of 20 years at hard labor on each count. He appealed, arguing the trial court erred by admitting into evidence various memoranda and forms, the cocaine, the crime lab analysis reports, an evidence transfer receipt and by imposing an excessive sentence.
