By an instrument dated December 5, 1977, the appellee, Laurel Explosives, Inc., leased from Dolly1 Farris and Intha Farris a 30-acre tract2 and a 52 1/2-acre tract,3 described in detail in Exhibits A and B which are attached to the purported lease, respectively.

The amount of rental was fixed as follows: $2,500 annually for the initial term of the lease...
