On June 27, 1987, a jury convicted Appellant Roy White (hereinafter White) of murder first degree, Section 565.020.1 RSMo 1986. The trial court thereafter sentenced him to life imprisonment without eligibility for probation or parole. On June 28, 1988, White filed a pro se motion for post-conviction relief pursuant to Rule 29.15. The motion court appointed counsel on July 1, 1988.
