Plaintiff, Clarence Jackson, brought this action for negligence against defendant, Village of Caseyville, to recover damages for flooding of his farm land. A jury returned a verdict for plaintiff and assessed damages for crop damage and mortgage interest. The circuit court of St. Clair County entered judgment upon this verdict.
