NEWBERN, Justice.

Eddie's Food Mart in Bluff City, Nevada County, was robbed by two men on June 28, 1989, July 8, 1989, and again on July 20, 1989. Lyndale "Wimpy" Walker, the appellant, and Hector Rodriguez were charged with all three robberies. A severance was granted, and Walker was tried separately and convicted of the aggravated robbery and theft of property which occurred July 20. He had not been tried for the crimes...
