In a Virginia court, enforcement of a valid foreign judgment based upon a gambling debt was opposed on public-policy grounds. The court ruled that the mandate of the Full Faith and Credit Clause and its implementing statutes1 prevailed over Virginia's strongly-expressed policy which prohibits the enforcement of gambling debts.
