On or about September 21, 1988, petitioner's deceased husband, John Southey Wise (decedent), mounted a sniper attack from the roof of his home, severely injuring a number of passing motorists, including plaintiffs, before taking his own life. The issue in this proceeding is whether plaintiffs may state causes of action for negligence and negligent entrustment based upon petitioner's failure to prevent the attack...
