Ronald Louis Martin was separately indicted by the Terrebonne Parish Grand Jury for aggravated rape, in violation of LSA-R.S. 14:42; aggravated burglary, in violation of LSA-R.S. 14:60; and aggravated crime against nature, in violation of LSA-R.S. 14:89.1. He was tried by a jury, which convicted him as charged on each count.1 The trial court imposed the mandatory sentence of life imprisonment, without benefit of probation...
