Defendant, Ronald L. Ritchie, was charged by bill of information with three counts of negligent homicide, in violation of LSA-R.S. 34:851.6. After trial by a six member jury, defendant was found guilty as charged and was sentenced to the maximum of one year in jail and a $1,000 fine on each of the three counts, with the sentences to run consecutively.
