Defendant pled guilty to a charge of possession of marijuana with intent to distribute as a result of being arrested with two companions after a traffic stop which led to the discovery of 44 pounds of marijuana concealed in the trunk of the car in which they were traveling. In exchange for defendant's plea and the forfeiture of $1,100 in cash also found in the trunk, the charges against his two companions were dismissed. Defendant was sentenced to five...
