The plaintiffs, Edward and Karen Eaton, appeal a district court order dismissing their medical malpractice claim pursuant to Iowa Rule of Civil Procedure 134(b)(2)(C) as a sanction for the plaintiffs' violation of a discovery order. The plaintiffs appeal, arguing the dismissal was an excessive sanction and was an abuse of the district court's discretion.
