Following a five-day jury trial, defendant Walter Jackson was convicted of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon under 18 U.S.C. § 922(g)(1).1 Under the Armed Career Criminal Act, 18 U.S.C. § 924(e), Jackson was sentenced to serve fifteen years in prison.
