D.M. Harris and wife, Brenda (Harris), were the makers of two notes originally owned by First State Bank of Childress (Bank). Upon the Bank's insolvency, the F.D.I.C. as receiver sold Harris' loans to the F.D.I.C. in its corporate capacity. In such capacity, the F.D.I.C. transferred, by sale, the notes to Western Best, Inc.
