Reginald Dennis was charged by bill of information with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, a violation of LSA-R.S. 14:95.1. Defendant waived his right to a jury trial and was found guilty as charged by the trial court. Subsequently, he was sentenced to imprisonment at hard labor for a term of six years without benefit of probation, parole or suspension of sentence.
