Graves Harrison, Jr., the appellant, was convicted of eight counts of theft. Harrison was the manager of the Hope Grain Drying Cooperative. Testimony presented to the jury showed that Harrison engaged with others in a scheme whereby he made out eight checks on the cooperative supported by false rice and soybean receipt entries.
