Defendant was convicted of burglarizing the home of David Hickman and assaulting Hickman on February 18, 1986 in Cayuga County, as well as of other charges arising at the time of his arrest on February 20, 1986 in Cayuga County in connection with an incident that had occurred in Wayne County. Defendant's son was separately charged in the Hickman incident. Both father and son were represented by the same retained attorney...
