Contrary to defendant's contention, it is not a prerequisite to a defendant's adjudication as a persistent felony offender that he have completed the service of his sentences for the predicate felonies before the commission of the present offense; it is only necessary that he be "imprisoned under sentence for such conviction[s] prior to the commission of the present felony" (Penal Law § 70.10 [1] [b] [ii]).
