Jackie Brumfield was charged by bill of information with possession of cocaine, a violation of La.R.S. 40:967(C). Initially, defendant pled not guilty; but, after the trial court denied his motion to suppress, he changed his plea to guilty with the reservation of his right to appeal. State v.
