The defendants, Wayne Washington and Walter Robinson, were charged with armed violence and unlawful possession of more than 15 grams of a controlled substance with the intent to deliver (Ill.Rev.Stat.1989, ch. 38, par. 33A-2, ch. 56½, par. 1401(a)).
