Following a jury trial in the circuit court of McLean County, Terry Ridgeway, defendant, was convicted of two counts of aggravated criminal sexual assault (Ill. Rev. Stat. 1985, ch. 38, par. 12-14(b)(1)) and one count of aggravated criminal sexual abuse (Ill. Rev. Stat. 1985, ch. 38, par. 12-16(c)(1)). He was sentenced to eight years' imprisonment on each assault count, and to five years'...
