Defendant, Dean Benoit, was charged with vehicular homicide, a violation of LSA-R.S. 14:32.1,1 following an automobile accident on Interstate 55 which resulted in two deaths. Defendant moved to suppress the results of a blood test administered following the accident and of statements made to State Trooper Van Penouilh.
