Defendant, Peggy Austin, was convicted of murder by a jury and sentenced to serve 30 years in prison. This court reversed her conviction and remanded the case for a new trial holding that the trial court erred in refusing defendant's tendered jury instruction on voluntary manslaughter. People v.
