Livingston Bank (plaintiff) brought suit on a promissory note in the principal sum of $17,000.00, dated November 1, 1985, payable in 90 days, signed by Leroy Comena (defendant), and secured by the pledge of a mortgage note and mortgage on property owned by defendant.
