In March 1984 Paul D. Hanson (Hanson) and the Paul D. Hanson Trust brought an equitable action against Bankers Trust Company (Bankers Trust) as trustee. The petition, as amended, asked for an accounting, the award of damages for breach of fiduciary duties, breach of contract, negligence, and other equitable relief.
