The appellant was charged with three counts of committing forgery in violation of Ark.Code Ann. § 5-37-201 (1987). At the close of the State's case, the trial court granted the appellant's motion for a directed verdict as to two of the counts. The jury convicted the appellant on the remaining count and, after finding that he was an habitual offender, sentenced him to thirty years in the Arkansas Department of Correction.
