The sole issue presented by this appeal is whether the trial judge was correct in confirming a default judgment in favor of the plaintiff.

Susie G. Phipps (hereinafter plaintiff) brought suit against Randall Chesson (hereinafter Chesson) as the result of an automobile accident. Plaintiff filed a first supplemental and amending petition naming McFillen Rent-A-Car, Inc. (hereinafter McFillen) and XYZ Insurance Company, as additional defendants....
