Following a jury trial, defendant-appellant, Abelee Brunson, was convicted under 18 U.S.C. §§ 2113(a) and (d) of the armed robbery of the Franklin Savings and Loan Association, a federally insured financial institution located in Kansas City, Kansas. At his sentencing hearing, Brunson moved the district court pursuant to Fed.R.Crim.P. 29 for a judgment of acquittal asserting that the government had failed to prove the federally insured...
