Texel, was charged in the county court with seven counts of promoting gambling in the first degree in violation of Neb.Rev.Stat. § 28-1102 (Reissue 1985), and with one count of possessing gambling records in violation of Neb.Rev.Stat. § 28-1105 (Cum.
