The Jefferson County Commission appropriated money for, and began construction of, a new building to provide facilities for the Jefferson County Sheriff's Department. Before construction was complete, the Commission cancelled the plans to use the building for the sheriff's department and passed a resolution instructing its budget office and the architect to present an alternate plan for use of the building...
