This is an appeal perfected by Lone Star Life Insurance Company (Lone Star) seeking reversal of a judgment casting it liable to the beneficiaries of a life insurance policy in the amount of $50,000.00.

Although judgment was rendered in favor of the plaintiffs, Kimberly A. Carney and Terry L. Carney, minors, through their appointed tutor, James T. Carney, the plaintiffs' claim for penalties and attorney fees was rejected by the trial court....
