JUSTICE McLAREN delivered the opinion of the court:

Michael A. Romero was convicted of unlawful possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver (Ill. Rev. Stat. 1987, ch. 56 1/2, par. 1401(a)(2)), and was sentenced to the Illinois Department of Corrections for a period of 15 years. We reverse, and remand the cause.
