Ian Bennett was the owner and operator of a motor vehicle which was involved in a one-car accident at about 5:00 A.M. on Sunday morning, December 22, 1985 in the Town of Marble-town, Ulster County. Kathy Smith was a passenger in Bennett's vehicle when it left the road and struck a tree, injuring both Bennett and Smith. Bennett was unconscious at the accident scene. He was taken to a nearby hospital where he reportedly consented to a blood alcohol...
