This is an original disciplinary proceeding against respondent, Dayton O. Rasmussen, Jr., of Omaha, Nebraska, who was formally charged with (1) violating his oath of office as provided in Neb.Rev.Stat. § 7-104 (Reissue 1987), and (2) violating provisions of the Code of Professional Responsibility adopted by this court, namely: "DR 1-102 Misconduct. (A) A lawyer shall not: (1) Violate a Disciplinary Rule," and "DR 6-101 Failing to Act Competently....
