On April 25, 1987, a recreational sailing vessel, the "Caraffe," crashed on a breakwater in Delaware Bay. As a result of this maritime incident, actions were commenced in this court pursuant to the court's admiralty jurisdiction, 28 U.S.C. § 1333, as well as diversity of citizenship, 28 U.S.C. § 1332.
