Defendant Thomas Mitchell Deboue was indicted by an Orleans Parish Grand Jury on May 24, 1984, and charged with two counts of first degree murder for the killing of Nigquika Miller, age six, and Jamal Moore, age eleven. Defendant's brother, Edward James Deboue, was indicted on the same charges and tried along with defendant.
