The evidence adduced at the pretrial hearing in this case established that at about 10:45 P.M. on June 9, 1986, Police Officer Richard Cercena responded in his marked radio car to 34 Wall Avenue in Valhalla, the residence of Patricia Turscan and the codefendant Andras Turcsan.
