Plaintiff Hertz Corporation ("Hertz") brings this action for damages and equitable relief against defendant Avis Rental Car Company ("Avis") for alleged violations of § 43(a) of the Lanham Act, 15 U.S.C. § 1125(a) (1982) and §§ 349 and 350 of the N.Y.Gen.Bus.
