SHEA, Justice.

The defendant, James Goodreau, appeals from his conviction in the Superior Court. Goodreau was charged with a fifteen-count indictment: two counts of first-degree sexual assault, ten counts of second-degree sexual assault, one count of extortion and blackmail, and two counts of simple assault and battery. The charges involved alleged assaults on six young women while they attended high school. The defendant was one of their teachers...
