This appeal was brought by the surety on a $550 bail bond from a judgment of forfeiture entered pursuant to OCGA § 17-6-71 on September 14, 1988, in the Superior Court of Henry County. The bond was returnable on September 25, 1987, to the Magistrate Court of Henry County and when the principal failed to appear on that date the case was transferred to the Superior Court.
