ELDRIDGE, Judge.

On January 4, 1987, Tai-Sun Choi was arrested for killing his wife, Suf-Lin Choi, earlier that day. Subsequently Tai-Sun Choi was charged, in the Circuit Court for Montgomery County, with murder. The State served a subpoena on Nancy, the Choi's 19-year-old daughter, and the defendant in the case at bar, requiring her to appear as a witness at Tai-Sun's trial. At the trial in October 1987, Nancy refused to answer questions by the State on the ground...
