Alfred Bedgood brought suit against Woodmen of the World Life Insurance Society (Woodmen) alleging that he, as beneficiary, was entitled to the proceeds of a life insurance policy Woodmen had issued to Connie Mae Bedgood, his wife, prior to her death.
