In April 1987 plaintiff, then three years old, was injured when a Honda automobile she was riding in was hit by a tractor trailer driven by the individual defendant and owned by the corporate defendant. In suing defendants for her injuries she alleged that the tractor trailer was operated willfully and wantonly as well as negligently, and asked to recover both compensatory and punitive damages.
