After a jury trial, defendant, Jeffrey Kolls, was found guilty of home invasion (Ill. Rev. Stat. 1985, ch. 38, par. 12-11(a)(2)), unlawful restraint (Ill. Rev. Stat. 1985, ch. 38, par. 10-3(a)), and battery (Ill. Rev. Stat. 1985, ch. 38, par. 12-3). Judgment for the battery offense was later vacated as a lesser-included offense of home invasion, and defendant was sentenced to concurrent terms...
