This is a criminal case involving two alleged violations of 18 U.S.C. § 201(c)(1)(B) which prohibits the receipt of illegal gratuities by public officials. The Defendant, Ladd Anthony, was Special Assistant to U.S. Senator Howard M. Metzenbaum at all times relevant to the two Counts.
