The defendant, Thomas Stange, was charged with one count of murder in violation of General Statutes § 53a-54a in connection with the shooting death of Roger Gagnon. Following a trial by jury, he was convicted of manslaughter in the first degree in violation of General Statutes § 53a-55 (a) (1) and sentenced to a term of imprisonment.
