On November 24, 1987, Patricia Caldwell filed suit in the Circuit Court for Prince George's County against the appellee, Nationwide Mutual Insurance Company, for a declaratory judgment. Caldwell sought to require the appellee to afford coverage and a defense to her under the terms of an automobile liability insurance policy.
