This cause presents the question as to whether the 1987 amendment to the Texas Family Code allowing the trial court to appoint parents of minor children as joint managing conservators without prior written agreement applied to suits pending on its effective date. It arises from a suit seeking the dissolution of the marriage of appellant Rosemary Willis Roach and appellee Thomas Lynch Roach and the appointment of conservators for the two minor children...
