The Attorney Grievance Commission charged Van Stuart Powers, a Maryland lawyer since 1972, with multiple violations of the Code of Professional Responsibility.1 We referred the matter to Judge G. Hovey Johnson of the Circuit Court for Prince George's County pursuant to Maryland Rule BV9 b.
